So, that’s interesting. Apparently a bunch of the highest volume wineries in the US are endorsed by the United Farm Workers for paying their workers fair wages under safe working conditions. Weirdly this doesn’t comport with what all the labor experts in the natural wine world were saying about popular US wines in the aftermath of the Pasalacqua family’s labor scandal. It was a “what about…” kind of thing, if you weren’t following along. It’s almost like a bunch of people were making serious claims with a paucity of evidence? Is that even possible?
